I enjoyed baking when I was in school and just over a year ago, decided to bake some cookies for the office. However, I enjoyed it so much that it evolved into a weekly event and the office now looks forward to homemade treats every Monday!

Mega Chocolate Brownies!
Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! With the freezing and sunny weather we have been having in Edinburgh, I decided chocolate will make everyone look forward to Spring! (yes, I know it makes no sense, so my rationale is 'because I say so!')
These brownies are made out of butter, cocoa powder, flour, caster sugar and white and milk chocolate chips. The brownies themselves are quite tasty and with a topping of melted milk chocolate and cream cheese, I thought they were really quite delicious!
Will update on taste tomorrow!
Orange & Pecan Sugar Cookies!
As a treat for the Office as it is one of the young colleagues' birthday this weekend, I decided to bake an additional item which is these lovely orange and pecan sugar cookies.
The orange element is orange zest and orange juice which were added to the butter and sugar creamed mix. Eggs, vanilla extract, flour and bicarbonate of soda are then added to make a creamy batter. Chopped pecans, dried cranberries and milk chocolate chips are then stirred in. After 10 mins of baking, the result is a lovely chewy orange cookie with lots of surprise bits in it!
I know they do not look great in the picture but really, they are quite tasty!
Gooey Chocolate Cherry Cookies!
This was meant as a treat for a colleague who enjoys my baking and loves chocolate! These gooey chocolate cherry cookies have chopped white and milk chocolate pieces as well as chopped glace cherries baked in them which makes the cookie looks more interesting with colours!
The dough is a simple batter of butter, egg, self-raising flour, golden caster sugar and dark muscovado sugar. The recipe called for light muscovado sugar but I wanted to finish up my dark muscovado sugar, so I used that instead which just gives the cookies more flavour.
These cookies took 2 days to finish and the Husband said they tasted much better the day after rather than straight out of the oven!
